DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING FOR SMALL ANIMALS

We employ the use of digital radiology, including dental radiology. The employment of radiological tools such as X-rays allows us to see inside the body of your pet, identifying problems with parts of the body such as the lungs, heart, bones, oral cavity, and abdominal cavity. We can use radiological imaging to identify fractures, growths, obstructions, foreign bodies, and more. We are pleased to use the best digital X-ray systems available in the nation. Our X-ray images can be viewed on a computer screen quickly after taking the image, enabling us to diagnose the problem and discuss it with you right away.

CT (Computed Tomography) Scan

In addition to radiographs, we employ our CT Scan machine for any additional imaging your pet may need. CT Scans need to be scheduled by your family veterinarian or by a hospital staff doctor. A CT scan makes use of computer-processed combinations of many X-ray images taken from different angles to produce cross-sectional (tomographic) images (virtual "slices") of specific areas of a scanned animal, allowing the user to see inside the body of your pet without surgical incisions. Other terms include computed axial tomography (CAT scan) and computer aided tomography.
