Our Critical Care Team

24 Hour Emergency Care
We are open twenty four hours a day seven days a week! No appointment needed for emergencies and ICU services. Call us on the way or complete the welcome form in advance so we can assist you immediately. The welcome form is located to the right of this field (scroll over the lightbulb symbol). We have been providing the greater New Haven area with emergency veterinary care for over 40 years and will always be here to help. Our veterinarians are supported by a diverse hospital team of nurses, technicians, handlers and administrators. We have been honored to receive the “Best of New Haven” award eight times.
Critical Care and Trauma
Additionally, Central Hospital is a trauma center, staffed and equipped to manage life-threatening traumatic injuries. Our emergency room is staffed by experienced veterinarians with specialty training in emergency medicine, and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In partnership with the emergency room, our ICU is staffed by criticalists certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Our emergency team works together with all of our specialists and your family veterinarian to provide the highest standard of care to our sickest patients. The ICU is staffed 24 hours a day with highly trained staff. Because we are always open, we are able to provide round-the-clock monitoring and treatment of critically ill pets.
